Every gain comes with a loss This review will be different from my other reviews as I won’t include a plot summary. Here’s the reason: Usually, my readers have watched the series I’m reviewing. “Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars“ (WUTSS), however, has remained below the radar of some BL fans, due to the large number of series airing at the same time. If you haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend you to do so, and it will take you on an exciting journey into the unknown and the unexpected, which will be all the more fun if I don’t spoil the details and twists of the story. This was an excellent series, for the most part. It was about a young man whose life was falling apart so one night he made a wish to live a different life and the wish came true. Like the old saying goes, be careful of what you wish for because you might just get it. Along the way he learns some very valuable lessons about love, life and managing expectations of himself and those around him. The story progressed nicely, then in episode 8 they decide to move in a slightly different direction. While that did throw the cadence of the story off, it still was all part of one big story and it was still enjoyable. The last episode got a little abstract and vague as to the "magic part" of the wish and what happened because of it, but outside of that it was a very good story and very much worth watching.
