Who we are
Movies Reviews (“we”, “us”, “the Site”) is an independent movie and TV review and discovery website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Movie Database (TMDB) or any streaming service.
Data we use to run the Site
Movie and TV titles, posters, ratings, cast, trailers and overviews shown on this Site are sourced from the TMDB API. Streaming availability (“where to watch”) information is sourced from JustWatch. This content belongs to those providers and is used under their respective terms. This website uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Information we collect from visitors
Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring site. We use this only to operate, secure and improve the Site.
If you use the search box, your search term is sent to TMDB to return results; it is not stored by us beyond what is needed to display your results.
Cookies
This Site may use essential cookies required for basic functionality, and, if we add analytics or advertising in the future, analytics or advertising cookies. We will update this policy and request consent where required before enabling any non-essential cookies.
Advertising
This Site may display advertising in the future once approved by an ad network. If so, our ad partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads; you can control ad personalisation through your browser or ad-network settings.
Third-party links
“Where to watch” links take you to third-party streaming services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external sites.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. Contact us using the details on our Contact Us page to make a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
