Yes, it has a bit of a slow pacing. Yes, it borrowed a lot from War of the Worlds. But despite this, it has very good acting, great computer effects, good story telling and enough tension to keep you skip to the next episode. If you consider this a War of the Worlds adaption, it is the best one. It would be a shame if there will be no second season.

Slow and uninspiring, with aliens that look a lot like furbees with spikes. In short, I can't recommend this sci fi stinker, on any level.

**Invasion: Delusions of Grandeur** Not so much "slow burn" but more "no burn". I'm quite partial to slow sci-fi, but this has no characters I can care about, zero charm or personality, and a glacial non-sensical plot. It mistakes "sombre and ponderous" for "meaningful": it's basically B-movie, ID4-style schlock, but thinks it's Citizen Kane. I write this after watching Season 2 Episode 5. I keep thinking it'll get better ... _it has to get better_. It won't. Don't make the same mistake I did – there's still time to save yourself. On the plus side, it looks lovely and is quite good for the five seconds Sam Neil is in it.

Absolutely garbage. The story is as slow as the molasses pouring. It is NOT sci-fi. It is more like Days of Our Lives spin-off or something. I DO NOT recommend this as a sci-fi series. But if you are into noontime soap show, then I highly recommend this.

WAJO! What on earth is this show? There is less of extraterrestrials and more of insipid drama of humans. There's no explanation of this repeated word. Perhaps esteemed writers and show runners thought they are going to create something far beyond human intelligence and will be talked among sci-fans for decades, but what they ended up making is putrid muck. Finally, I blame Sam Niel for making me watch this show. Had no idea his screen presence will be short lived.

WAJO! Season 1 takes forever to get somewhere, but it did get somewhere interesting enough to keep me watching: - The alien design is lackluster. It's literally a blob. - JASA woman's storyline is probably the most interesting. - The kid's storyline gets good after he stands up for himself, not before. Everything before is... "UGH! CAN WE NOT?!" His teacher/bus driver gave us some of the dumbest scenes in Season 1. - Soldier man's storyline is pew pew fine, I guess? - Not A Doctor woman's story is the most irritating to watch unfold. By the end of the season, I wanted her entire family to be dead so she could just play doctor. - "Wajo!", "Anghkooey!", "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"... Can we stop with this one-word muffin shit? Was the Japanese word for space alien too long? Your shuttle gets f@#$ed by aliens, and you're able to say one word, you gon' say "aliens". Noth…
