*After The Quake* faithfully captures Haruki Murakami's signature style, weaving four interconnected stories into a thoughtful exploration of loss, identity, and hope through subtle symbolism, natural performances, and elegant visual storytelling. Although its quiet, unconventional narrative may not appeal to everyone, the film rewards patient viewers with meaningful themes and a satisfying emotional resonance. Overall, it is a contemplative and worthwhile adaptation for those who appreciate reflective, character-driven cinema. BY ALUNAUWIE
