Gauthaam is an Indian filmmaker with a background in Visual Communication and a passion for cinema, storytelling, and filmmaking. Born in Erode, Tamil Nadu, on October 13, 2006, his interest in cinema began as early as the third grade, when he developed a fascination with movie audio launches. As he grew older, this interest evolved into a deeper passion for filmmaking through watching films, reading articles, and exploring cinema-related trivia. During his school years, Gauthaam began learning video and photo editing, initially experimenting on mobile devices before developing his skills on desktop software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. He gradually explored different aspects of filmmaking and post-production, developing an interest in both the creative and technical sides of cinema. While in school, Gauthaam and his friends would often create stories for entertainment, imagining their school professors as heroes and main characters. Between grades 10 and 12, he began making several short films. Some remained unfinished, while others were never released due to various circumstances. These early experiences helped shape his interest in storytelling and filmmaking. In 2025, Gauthaam faced setbacks while working on short film projects, but the experience strengthened his determination to continue pursuing cinema. In 2026, he completed and released his debut short film, Ananya's Call (2026), a Tamil sci-fi fantasy thriller. With a foundation in Visual Communication and hands-on experience across filmmaking and post-production, Gauthaam continues to explore new forms of storytelling while developing his voice as a filmmaker.
