NEVER SINCE is a short film about a man who, eight years after a breakup, remains trapped in the memory of a woman he once loved. Unable to let go, he repeatedly reenacts the same conversation with different women, each encounter taking place at a different stage of his life. Beneath these changing faces is the same search: he is trying to find something of the woman he lost, in someone else. As the years pass, the reenactments reveal not only his inability to move forward, but the ways in which memory has preserved a version of himself that no longer exists. The film gradually returns to the beginning, to a younger version of him sitting with the love of his life, fully aware that the ordinary moment he is living will one day become the memory he cannot escape.
